Finished

After another busy morning of pining, stitching, trimming and pressing I've finished it...

I hope Chloe likes the result when she comes home from school this afternoon!

All Square

...And I'm very pleased that they are.....all square that is!  Chloe has really felt the cold this winter, so I decided to make a quilt for her bed that will go with her two different pink polka dot duvet covers. After an afternoon of lots of very careful cutting, stitching and pressing I finished the patchwork part just in time to hide it before going to collect Chloe from school. Hopefully it will be ready for the weekend.

Seeing Squares

I made a few patchwork bags last year as presents and liked them all, so decided to make one for myself, and after a morning of cutting, stitching and pressing mine was ready for it's first outing.....

Roxy Duo

It doesn't usually take me 4 days to make a dress, but given I decided to pretty much make my own pattern as I went along, this one did, but after all the hicups and alterations I'm pleased with the result, and so is Chloe.

Polka Dots

Did I say I didn't do black?....but with lots of pink polka dots I rather like it! Chloe's latest outfit is a reversible balloon skirt, a 'peacock' top and mademoiselle bag and corsage flower brooch.

Lovely Liberty

A little bit of Liberty luxury for me....

Mmmm Shorts

Chloe saw some navy velvet shorts just before Christmas when we were shopping together, but as is often the case they weren't a good fit, so I promised to make some. I was lucky enough to have two sewing books for Christmas from my lovely husband and Mum, so started with some shorts that had caught my eye when I first saw the pattern several months ago and fitted Chloe's brief perfectly.

The pattern is froms a Japanese book, also available translated into French as Petites Filles Modeles.

Warm and Cosy

Over the Christmas holidays we had time for some nice relaxed mornings, time for a leisurely breakfast....and time to notice just how short Chloe's dressing gown had become. I managed to squeeze in a little sewing between visitors to make a nice new warm and cosy dressing gown for the new year.
