Summer's coming soon (isn't it?)

With summer (hopefully) on it's way I've made a couple of outfits for me:

Quilted Jacket

I've made many coats and jackets for Chloe over the years, but never for myself...so I decided it was about time that changed. The jacket is made from a pre quilted cotton fabric which is lovely and light but quite warm and I used an Ottobre Design pattern called Windbreaker as I like princess style seams as I find they give a good fit.

Two tops for Chloe, both with a common theme however.....

....because I couldn't resist the fabrics!

I can't believe it's November....

How time has flown...Chloe started secondary school in September and loves it, celebrated her 12th birthday at the end of September and went bowling with her friends:

Having grown a lot in height over the past six months a new bike was an ideal birthday present:

And that is why my blog has been so quiet... I've been too busy sewing!!!

Chloe's Year 6 Leavers Ball

I can't believe the time has nearly come for my little girl to leave primary school. She's had a great year, came home with a fantastic report on Friday and went back to school for an evening to remember....

Birthday Celebrations

I've had a wonderful weekend celebrating my 40th Birthday, which started with a party on Saturday night, being spoilt rotten by friends and family with some fantastic presents and culminating in a family dinner tonight.

Our French Adventure

This year Chloe's school residential was a trip to France, which luckily for me also meant I was asked if I would like to go too.....

And what a fantastic week we had!

Made to Measure

I don't normally sew without a pattern, however as I didn't have one I made it up as I went along....A little tedious but Chloe likes her new backpack which is just as well as she'll be carrying it round for her week residential trip to France soon!

Plethora of Patchwork

Scarves and then tee shirts...I'm not sure just how many bits of jersey I've sewn together recently, but I do know I've made some space in my remnant box!!!

The Teal Deal

A new tee shirt for me this time, in a new colour too, accompanied by a loop jersey scarf for me which I loved making from lots and lots of jersey scraps...

Dotty Again......

Chloe only asked for a couple of skirts for this winter, and the sun finally decided to shine when she was wearing one...complete with a new coordinated scarf.

Branching Out

Owl always love making Christmas presents for my friends (sorry!) especially with lovely fabrics and even more so when cute owls are involved, so I couldn't resist making this cosmetic purse for a friend, who, I think loves owls even more than me!

Mini Me

Having made a top for myself, all ready for Christmas, my dear daughter asked if she could have a dress from the rest of the material.....

....I'm keeping my top for New Year's Eve!!!!
