Bags of Bags

Chloe and I saw a lovely Hello Kitty bag in Hamleys when we went to London in December, so having found I could buy the fabric (it's a Liberty print) I decided to surprise her with her own version for Christmas!

I then found I had the time to make a bag for me, all ready for our next day out together:

 

A Blue Beginning....

...to the month of December for me! Two new skirts to add to my wardrobe...

Tippy Top

Having already made a red version I decided a black version would be ideal for wearing underneath several of Chloe's outfits to add some layers for winter warmth. This time instead of the buttons I used popper fastenings which work well with the very fluid jersey.

Bring on the blues

Chloe is a little short on cardigans, so I thought I'd try my hand at a waterfall style cardigan in sweatshirt fabric to complete an outfit made up of a navy jersey top and a polka dot babycord skirt. I didn't have a girls pattern suitable so I combined a girls cardigan pattern from Ottobre Design with two adults patterns - one from Ottobre and another from a french magazine Coudre c'est facile. Chloe and I are both pleased with the result....

Cosy Fleece

With the lovely thick frost and wintery sunshine we had this morning a warm cosy fleece seemed appropriate!
