Thank you presents

Chloe was lucky enough this year to have had two fantastic teachers, so we decided it would be nice to make them thank you presents that they could keep..so for one (very special one)I made a bag and Chloe helped make the pencil case:

And for her class teacher (a young gentleman) who likes writing a covered notebook & pen (accompanied of course by a bottle of Bordeaux to complete the theme):

Then we learnt the fabulous news that her favourite teacher will stay with her year group next year and become her class teacher...only what do we do at the end of next year?

Summer Dressing

The first in a series of simple summer dresses for Chloe in a lovely cotton jersey. I have a feeling this is going to get a lot of wear this summer - it's been worn and washed twice already!!!

Lady of Liberty

A lovely floaty top in a fine Liberty lawn takes Chloe's denim skirt from winter to summer very nicely...

Summer Sun

Well...OK, it not got that warm here yet, but at least the sun is out. The gorgeous white print fabric was from my friend at Dots and Stripes, which I pared with some lime green cotton poplin, to make an outfit fit for a proper summer's day!

Several Shades of Blue

I found this fabric recently whilst shopping with my Mum and daughter, who both encouraged me to try something new. I'm glad they did as I'm pleased with my three quarter length sleeve tee shirt.

Alles Drin - A la Francaise

What a European mix - a German pattern, in a French themed fabric, made in the UK! And I love it and despite having only finished it a week ago I've used it lots already.

Anya Buckle Bag

I saw this pattern recently in a Sewing World compilation called Bags and Brooches, and I rather liked the look of it, so decided to try it for myself....
